Stubborn

We are in the middle of a life changing series titled "Prisoners of Hope" the text comes from Zechariah 9:12.
What an awesome word for God's people who will never let go of their hope in God. What a powerful force hope is.
Here is a poem written by one of great members Paul Dailey.
STUBBORN.
The embers glow close to the ground; nearer to hell that to heaven.
It's difficult to imagine this dismal scene was once the setting of a roaring forest fire.
In this smoldering ash heap where time stands still and faith gasps for breath, the glory of days gone by is little more than an apparition scarcely perceived.
Still, the discerning mind knows that even one ember is enough; enough to consume the universe.
As long as one tiny spark remains there is hope.
It is staunch against the wind, impervious to the downpour.
So for now we wait, for wind or fuel or something else we don't know.
But we will keep waiting, for hope is the most stubborn thing of all.
Paul Dailey
